#147 The Will to Win

Arguably man’s most precious resource is his will. The will to survive has brought us to this modern civilization we are a part of.

It was will which put the Wright brothers in the air, built Henry Ford’s V8 engine and Thomas Edison’s lightbulb.

The highest degree of skill and mastery of technique in Martial Arts or any endeavor, when not accompanied by desire, persistence and a hero’s will is like a boat with holes which only appears effective.

Will power is man’s own personal resource that can be channeled towards his greatest ambitions. It is the fuel that will allow you to endure any pain and insurmountable difficulty. Will accomplishes the “impossible”.

Self will is not governed by external laws. – Self will seems to be the only virtue that takes no account of man made laws. -Bruce Lee
